so i have a ton of AMS ammo in all my mechs; today i was in a match where the clan lrm was raining on a team mate of mine; so i take a step closer so my AMS can eat away the LRM like a team player
however i notice this - the ams stops firing after a few seconds even if there is missiles in the air and theres ammo for my AMS... what?
maybe there is an ams mechanic i don't understand? why would it stop working like that for no reason? how is the clan lrm weaker if the ams doesn't do its job?
needless to say my friend died to streamed lrms even though he had ams and i had ams and we were both in range...
again> somebody explain this to me, is this by design? or did i found a bug
OH BY THE WAY... the voice on our mechs, BETTY > is still giving clan LRM warning TOO LATE!!!!! they're halfway in the air when the message pops up!
this should have been fixed TWO PATCHES AGO when clans first were introduced, making betty glitch out is not the way to balance clan long range missiles

I wonder if it is related to the warping we see from time to time, along with something with the missile list not updating properly for AMS to work in those moments.
For example, I've noticed that when I see the warping (mechs walking in place ans so on) certain things seem to struggle such as having the Machine Gun sound playing continuously, when they're not being fired, and mechs teleporting around and so on.
Edit: the other thing that I see, is the inability to change zoom during a warp, so it would be interesting to see if the AMS not working coincides with zoom not working.

Remove the warning. That would help balance LRM's.

Have a look at this. I noticed a similar thing a while back and I did have bad ping so it could be related to the recent lag. If so just another unfair thing to high ping players.

that's quite interesting - so not even the AMS is entirely reliable!
